The Customer Service Role is responsible for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction through effective customer order management. The Customer Service Role is directly responsible for the administration, implementation, and maintenance of Gränges customer accounts to ensure all orders conform and meet Gränges & customer’s shipment expectations. The Customer Service Role will be the Customer Care function expert for efficient and effective order management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to adjust, adapt, respond to, and be resourceful in the face of change to deliver business objectives

  • Provide timely information/knowledge regarding order management process, procedures and system maintenance
  • Create and maintain customer data within the following: SESAM, External Customer Systems and department applications including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Maintain bookings and plant loads
  • Exercise superior interpersonal skills inclusive of Listening, Empathy, and Persistence with regards to the customer relationship to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction
  • Process all customer orders in a timely manner and in compliance with customer care best practices to facilitate superior on time and in full to our customers
  • Recognize and reconcile any potential order conflicts such as delivery/shipping delays, pricing errors, promotional allowances, and out of stock situations to ensure customer orders will deliver on time and in full
  • Resolve and/or escalate critical order issues to achieve customer goals and priorities
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that material is received on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods
  • Interact with other departments such as Finance, Credit, Logistics, Sales, and Planning to proactively oversee customer orders versus plant capabilities and resolve issues affecting customer orders
  • Monitors metal flow and adjusts to bottle necks and/or customer demand accordingly
  • Work with Sales to effectively manage customer orders against forecast and production quantities. This includes maintaining effective communication with customer, sales, and planning groups to changes in demand or production capacity
  • Manage customer inventory to ensure in-stocks and Weeks of Supply meet or exceed customer targets
  • Interact with customers to enhance relationships and better meet their needs
  • Consistently strive for continuous improvement by developing & sharing knowledge with others

• Bachelor’s Degree and/ or

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Customer Order Management or Operations Management
  • Experience working with Automotive and/or OEM customers preferred
  • Domestic & International travel (15%) as required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
