Jackson County Community and Economic Development Agency
The Jackson County Community and Economic Development Agency was organized to fund loans for the purpose of the development of new small businesses or for the purchase or expansion of existing small businesses in Jackson County.
The primary purpose of the fund is to aid in job creation in Jackson County. Businesses eligible for loans from the fund must have 50 employees or fewer and have projected gross revenues of $1 million or less in the first year after the loan is made. Eligible applicants may be existing businesses in Jackson County; start-up businesses by Jackson County residents who have lived in the county a minimum of one year; or businesses relocating to Jackson County.
Loans are targeted to assist industrial manufacturing, production and wholesale distribution operations. Other types of businesses may be considered when in the opinion of the Loan Review Committee the projects will be beneficial to the local economy.
